One of the worst analogies I've come across since "leaving a Burger King" obviously just involves walking out of a door, whereas leaving the European Union obviously involves copious time, money and difficulty.

The implication is that it should have been simple, free and as "easy as walking out of a burger bar", and the fact that it is not is humorous. Then again I'm long past seeing anything funny about it.
