If you want to “ditch” your Spanish bank and it’s associated fees this might just be the solution.
They get amazing customer satisfaction reviews.
Might be worth investigating

From what I understand any bank under EU law "should" work. The problem is to get water / electricity / taxes in Spain to accept a non Spanish bank account. If someone would be successful with that, please let us know.
