We are with Deutsche Bank who emailed me in December about this. They wanted a form filled in and signed, to be returned along with a suitable ID document. Naturally, I filed it for doing later and forgot about it - but a reminder arrived two weeks ago, exactly the same email but saying only that they had to comply with the legislation soon, no specific date was quoted. However, our account manager emailed me the same day pointing out the urgency so we completed the forms, signed and scanned them back to him with passport scans, which is all they need. Job done, no personal appearance required - although I will take the original forms out with me when we go soon and deliver them to the bank, just to be sure.
