I posted this earlier but realised I had put it under 'Restaurants' and I don't want it to get missed.
We regularly read on here and elsewhere about muggings, thefts etc., in the area and I am sure there other incidents that we don't hear about. This is a reminder to stay vigilant and not to get complacent.
On Friday night a friend of ours was with her husband and another couple in El Hatsikidee at the Commercial Centre for a meal. She had her handbag safely (she thought) by her feet, but when she went to pick it up it was gone! Money, phone and keys - gone. An emergency locksmith had to be called out, at a very high cost. They were told that this wasn't the first time it had happened. Maybe there should be 'Watch out thieves about' signs for the unsuspecting.
Stay aware (as you would at home).
