I've been backwards and forwards to GA for over fifteen years now. A few years back, sparked off by the old defences up by the lighthouse, I started writing a blog about the Civil War on the Costa Blanca. It's still going strong. Hoping this attachment will work. Longer term, when I retire in a few years, I hope to expand this project into a book. If you have any tips on anything I've missed drop me a message. There's plenty more to discover and I've got loads more to see in the pipeline. Geoff (Totts) http://costablancacivilwar.blogspot.co.uk/

Really glad you enjoyed it. I love digging into this stuff and will definitely post as the blog gets updated in the future. We have some extraordinary history right on our doorstep.

Hi Totts, have you seen the pillbox type building behind the airport. It's on the right hand side of the A79 towards Alicante, just after the turning past the IFA building.
-
is that the one out at Torrellano? If not, then no, and I need to get out there!
-
Could be, it's more east of Torrelano on A79 towards Alicante. We spotted it when on the way to El PLantio Golf Resort.
