Local press refer to it being possibly a Blue Shark:

I’ve only just over come my fear of fish swimming around my feet. :o more reason to just stay sat on the sand.

A friend was only saying last night she’s waiting for the headlines in the Daily Frail “Great White terrorises Costa Blanca”

Thanks for the information John.

and i thought Darb's fish were big !
-
Definitely not a blue. They have a much finer head and, as I said earlier, the fins are unusual for any shark that I know of.
-
Basking shark ?
It will be in Mercadona fish stand by now.

Yes llamedos, I looked at the picture and thought it would go nicely with some chips.
-
Second pic looks like a basking shark. If this is the case, perfectly safe. Suspect this is the case as there's no sensationalism in the story.
-
I think it’s possibly a Thresher Shark, also known as a Fox Shark.
-
The fins are wrong for a Thresher. From the pics, I think it's most probably a Basking shark.
