A few of us were chatting about this yesterday and a couple of us said that we had paid more this year due to the increased percentage of the valuation being used.
Others said that their taxation had not gone up
I quote the information I received from our solicitors;
"It is necessary to submit Form 210, as follows. Deemed income tax If the property has not been rented out during the year, then income tax on an "imaginary" rental income is due. The deemed income is calculated as a percentage of the rateable value (valor catastral) of the property.
For the tax years 2015 onwards, this percentage is 1.1% if the valor catastral has been updated in the previous 10 years, and 2% if otherwise"
I would surmise that if you have had a property for more than 10 years and have not seen your tax increase and have not received a revised valor catastral, with a much lower valuation.....highly unlikely, then you should question the ability of your "advisor"
