On the coastal road to Santa Pola. Directly underneath where the skywalk is on the cliff top

Did you overlay the music Rich, or does it actually sound like that?
-
Nope - that's the music they were playing. Who needs Ibiza ?

Always use the beach by the little church. Beach bar/restaurant and safe, all on one level, walk into the sea. The sea was lovely today.

Hi Barry,
This sounds fab, What's the name of the beach bar you refer too?
Coming to Gran Alacant in a couple of weeks staying at Altomar 2 and looking for beaches within walking distance?
Thanks

Walking to church beach bar from altomar a good half hour if quick walker, quickest but not safest by hand glider straight over cliff.
-
I think half hour very optimistic unless you fall and roll down the hill

Half an hour!!!! Blimey that's some speed walking!
-
Steady now chaps, i did say a good half hour walking quickly, im no speed walker but regularly walk from ga centre to arenales which takes 50 minutes, decent walkers can cover between 3 and 4 miles in an hour.
-
I can do Altomar 1 to the beach in 20 minutes so 30 minutes from Altomar 2 doesn't seem unreasonable. Coming back does take longer!!
-
Before breakfast I regularly walk from Brisamar down to the bottom of the hill, then along the Clot to the Carabasi strip and back up the hill past Unide. It takes just over 1 hour. In winter I can do it quicker. I think it's a good way to keep fit.

From Novamar I can do it in about an hour, the weight of the kitchen sink and the other stuff the Mrs packs onto the beach trolley slows me down a bit

Regards all

Doing lots of walking is normal routine for us now, as we rarely hire a car. In cooler times we regularly walk to the far end of arenales and even santa pola town and beach, though we usually get the bus or a taxi back to GA from SP.
