Title: Bridge N332 diversion

N-332 diversions at Gran Alacant
ON 14 APRIL 2016.
5 weeks of disruption for work on bridge
Work on the bridge at Gran Alacant in Santa Pola will require traffic heading towards Alicante (and the airport) on the N-332 to be diverted from Monday, April 18th.
This is the fourth phase of the bridge restoration project and is estimated to take 4-5 weeks.
For the first two weeks, traffic towards Alicante will be diverted onto the Repsol petrol station service road while traffic towards Cartagena will not be affected.
For the following three weeks, traffic towards Alicante will still be diverted onto the petrol station service road and traffic towards Cartagena will use the left-hand Alicante lane instead. During this phase the slip road onto the N-332 towards Cartagena from the bridge will be closed.

To leave GA and go to Santa Pola, there is a very long diversion in place, taking you through GA and to SP via the coast road.

For Santa Pola suggest best to leave ga via the ALICANTE sign, drive the n332 to the EL ALTET junction, leave the n332 there, go round the roundabout and come back along the n332.

Have no idea why that (see above) wasn't the "diversion" since it is clearly about twenty/thirty minutes faster than taking the coast road!

The coast road can only take about twenty minutes anyway, so I would still think it quicker unless it was a sunny  Sunday lunchtime.

The coast road is so narrow for so much traffic, especially bigger vehicles

what route will be in place coming from airport to g.a which usually goes via overhead bridge.
