Title: Life Resort
Post by: Maricia on April 03, 2016, 13:12.
Interesting article regarding the Life Resort as only 30 of the 200 units built were ever sold at approx 200, 000 Euros each. The current home owners are suing the company and bank as promises such as 24 hour care did not materialise.

That place was a white elephant from the start, and as for the contracts, I honestly don't know who would sign such a thing! The vulnerable I guess :(

Spot on gaveteran, we went and had a look, we walked out half way through the sales presentation.
A neighbours brother bought one and in all fairness to the developers he and others got a 100% refund of their purchase price and costs when issues where discovered

I did wonder what the story was with the Life Resort. We walked around it recently while in GA and couldn't believe that we didn't see a single soul there. It looked like everything was closed down, no shops, no residents, nothing. The place was derelict and I almost expected to see tumbleweed. I do feel sorry for those 30 homeowners who did buy property there, if they are now stuck in a ghosttown.

Quite a few friends have been to the pools and spa there and they say it's very good so they must be generating some income there.

We went there in the winter to use the pool etc the pool was empty but told children not allow in the pool. I understand them sticking to the rules but when your till is empty a rethink might be needed.

The issue is that the home owners on Life Resort cannot use the facilities unless they pay as stated in the article which is why they are taking the company/bank to court.  In addition, the deal with the new owners is not the deal that the home owners signed up to when they bought (goal posts shifted) and the 30 home owners have stopped paying maintenance fees.
