The random Covid tests are still being carried out - that has nothing to do with TIE's.

The TIE relates to your residential status within Spain which the national police check on entry into the country, the testing and health screening from what I saw applies to everyone no exceptions.

I understand. But whereas if a "tourist" so to speak fails the health check I can imagine they (could be) sent back to the UK. Whereas if a resident arrives and fails... I cannot see that being the case! Surely you jsut get sent home?! (ie here)

I flew in late last night, 22.30 and we all went straight to the passport booths bypassing the automatic machines. Passport was stamped and scanned by the official there. Walking through I was pulled for a covid document check. There were six checkers and as soon as one was free the next person walking through was stopped for a check - otherwise you just walked through.
Birmingham airport absolutely rammed yesterday. Express security worth its weight in gold.
