It's somewhere I want to get to. Did you drive or by train?

Hi, we drove up Annette, staying at the Tryp Oceanic, it’s well positioned and has a car park.
It’s a good hotel, very efficient and helpful staff and spotless

If you get time visit the central market, fabulous building with old world market charm, also in the corner of the main square the best horchata cafe in spain.

I’d leave it until “out of season” Annette, we walked round yesterday, no queue at the ticket office and straight in, no problems at any of the exhibits either.
We noticed on the pavement “marker posts” quoting the waiting time to the front of the queue.....started at 2 hours!!
It would be horrendous

I was introduced to horchata in Valencia, bought it at one of the little street stalls that you will find around, been hooked on it ever since. The stuff in cartons is not so good, but better than nothing.

Lovely city, well worth visiting, been 10 years since i was last there so well overdue a return trip - and I agree with John, a visit to Oceanografic is a must as is the whole Ciudad de las Artes y de las Ciencias.

Enjoy.

John as you've no doubt already found out the city is easily walkable, on 2 occasions we've joined a free walking tour, several on trip advisor to choose from. We did a tapas tour and the evening /night tour both with local guides, you go off the beaten track and see things you wouldnt normally see on your own. Whilst they are free most people give 10 euros a bargain.

We went last year on Daves Coaches.  Had a lovely day and crammed in as much as possible. Took the metro and tram to the beach.   Couldn’t believe how wide it was.  Will definitely go back but next time we will stay over

Brill place to visit, lots of great restaurants serving good food at fair prices, public transport is first rate, it’s all on the flat so getting around is easy, the lasting memory is what a city of contrasts, worth a visit.

We went up to the city of arts and sciences about ten years back. We meandered up the coast road going up via Cullera and came back on the A7. Coming out of Valencia in the rush hour on the way back was a bit tedious.
