Moving to Gran Alacant
« on: November 16, 2016, 20:47. »
Hi we are moving to Spain with a 4 year old boy and a baby boy and this area looks really nice to us.
Does anyone know if it is good for kids and what the public school is like?  Thanks

Hi TJ,

Hopefully some members who have experience of the school system with GA will reply to give some advice.  However, as a long-term resident I would advise a few holidays withyour family to the area and speak to ex-pats who have a young family here as they will have first hand experience.  From speaking to friends I know that the local school in GA is over subscribed but this is possibly due to the increasing population and I know from the local press that the school is currently being expanded to increase capacity.

The area is beautiful and the lifestyle is great but not without its faults ☺

Good Luck

Maricia

If you are looking for a property close to the school, I have an apartment adjacent to Novamar Centro, overlooking the school that is for sale. http://www.ga-homefinders.co.uk/apartment-in-gran-alacant-682.html
