Hi
It's Terry Venables Boutique Hotel Alcoy
I tried to find it last year but gave up,it drove my sat nav crazy.
I think in Spanish it means "hide away"
If you do find it please send me directions.

I'll give it a go Dave ! It does say on their website to watch out where the Sat Nav takes you - I'll try old tech with a map !

Hi
We have been many times Terry and his wife Yvette are very nice and take the time to chat it is a lovely place to take visitors particularly for lunch where the views from the terrace are stunning.
Take the A7 head towards Alcoy and Xixona after approx 30 mins take the exit for Xixona  almost immediately you will see a signpost for Benifallin follow this sign back over the motorway and soon through a short tunnel,  a mile or two further along you take a right (still signposted Benifallin)
you are then on the cv785 which winds up into the hills with great views when you get to Benifallin (about 6 kms) carry on through heading to Penaguila after a mile La Escondida will come into view on the left.
It should take no more than 1 hour 10 mins from G/A.
The menu del dia  is about 27 euro but well worth it, enjoy !!!

Has anyone stayed at the hotel. I have booked two nights in January.
It's a present for Mark for his 50th and him being a Crystal Palace fan,  will put him in football heaven if Terry was there.

Yes stayed two nights in April very nice the breakfast especially the eggs Benedict is superb,if you have time just 15 mins up the road in Penaguila there is a safari park which is worth a visit and in the off season if you go at feeding time (call and find out the times) you get to feed the animals with the ranger my wife was in heaven feeding giraffes, elephants, etc.
Terry is there most of the time but does go back to England once a month
