We had a letter yesterday to inform us Deutsche Bank in GA is closing down on the 20th December and all accounts are being moved to their branch in Alicante.

Yep I got the same letter anyone know where the Alicante branch is I’m now doing it all on line I suspect changing the bank to a different local one will be a nightmare and then they will probably close as well so I’m going to try with online only

That is a blow, never been charged a fee  for withdrawing cash with my Nationwide debit card.
What do the other banks charge in GA?

Oh dear, been with DB and Jorge Ortega in GA from the start, sign of the times I suppose as banks move more and more to online existence only.

Like others, I do everything online now anyway, very rarely do I need to visit the branch, only downside will be the loss of free cash withdrawals from their ATM.

Charges at other ATM's seem to vary, anywhere between 1 and 2 percent.

We bank with Sabadell, they charge 30 euros per quarter for accounts unless you can pay 800 euros per month in then you qualify as a local account as income going in and it's free.

I’m not going to change banks as I think this is the way it’s going now and I suspect the other banks will follow suit and close the branches

Called in today and spoke to Jorge, had to see him anyway to update personal data files, he and Anna will be relocating to the Alicante branch which is up near the Renfe station, Av. de la Estación, 17, 19, 03003 Alicante. He also confirmed that we need do nothing, everything will just transfer over internally and carry on as before, just from a different location.

Hi
I bank with Deutsche Bank, now that they have closed the branch in Masa Square.
Is there any banks in GA that do not apply charges to withdraw from ATM?
Thank you

Sadly the ATM has been removed, do not think there is another ATM which offers free withdrawals in GA for my Nationwide debit card.
