Disabled Badge
« on: July 24, 2018, 13:28. »
My friends mother is visiting her next week and has a disabled badge.  Are they valid in Espana or does she need to sort some paperwork.  She’s only just become eligible for one. Thanks

We had a friend who had a disabled badge, she said it was valid as it had her photo on it, we used it quite a few times when she came out, and had no problems

Hi,  I have one which I have used with no problems. However I did make a mistake in Elche a couple of years back by parking and not noticing that it was a designated space for a particular vehile. The number was shown on the sign , since then I have often noticed that some spaces are designated in this way, mainly more residential areas.  Happily someone passing pointed out my mistake.

The main problem out in Spain is the lack of thought given to placing the disabled bays, some are very small others are not near entrances, and
then there's the people who park in them or block them without any thought for legitimate users.
