Title: Terrarium TV
Post by: John H on October 26, 2017, 10:14.
Someone mentioned the above to me a few weeks ago and raved about how good it was in comparison to Kodi
I put it onto the Firestick and have to say it’s better than Kodi for what we use it for, which is movies and box sets.
It has no functionality to watch live TV.
Here’s one of those terrible YouTube videos giving a bit more information

Thanks guys, the problem I have is that I got the firestick off a third party who loaded it up for me (at a price) so it's in his name as I've tried to download other apps. Ah well I'm buying a firebox in the next few weeks.

John you might know the answer to this.

I want to install the Terrarium.apk file onto my amazon stick

I can find the file and have downloaded it onto the PC but how do I get it into the stick ? I have a PC not a MAC or other Android device to make the transfer.

Not sure BeachLife, I just put it straight into the stick following a procedure like this
https://youtu.be/Gf0pZXv24n4

I did find it wouldn’t play trailers for films, a quick google search gave a solution

Not sure if it’s password protected, but can you reset the stick and erase everything on it?

I think I need to erase his membership from the firestick, or just wait to get the firebox.
My android box is now redundant.

I gave my box away, I find it much easier to add/delete things on the Firestick, it was £40 well spent

Yes if you delete everything & clear data you can start again & it should be ok to download your own apps.Let me know how you get on , I’ve got a couple more apps I’ll let you know about that are also very good for movies.

Update, Terrarium downloaded easily and is a good app, I'm having problems with my live streaming apps though, as can't get Perfect to work and Mobdro and live net TV are very poor. Any ideas to a solution will be gratefully received.

I’ve given up on live streaming, hence the reason for switching to Terrarium and ditching Kodi, even with a good internet speed using Kodi the feeds are often of poor quality and suffer from buffering despite my best efforts to find a solution
I found Kodi good for films and box sets, but Terrarium is far easier to use and delivers imho a better quality end product
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!!

Thanks John, as you say Terrarium is great for movies and series and is similar to Movies HD and Show box, the problem I now have is getting Perfect up and running as Im going to miss Gold rush and all the other Alaskan shows on discovery.
I was watching the GP on Mobdro which is not very nice!

It could be my crappy Internet from Grannet causing the problems especially at the weekends, it's very unstable and they are sick of sending out so called technicians to sort it out.

Sad news, Terrarium TV, which we use every day is no more.
I deleted it from the Firestick last night and reloaded Durex which worked great

Thanks for that John.  Hubby now downloaded Durex onto the firestick (with the help of a youtube tutorial).

He then found a tutorial on youtube showing how to get Terrarium TV via Filelink and that worked.  It said it will be available for a few more months.

So looks like we are all set until the next 'situation'

Thanks again

Don't dismiss a Spanish Amazon Prime subscription, which includes Prime Video. It's dirt cheap (I paid 19 euros a year for the last few years, but they just doubled that) the selection is very good, the buffering outstanding, and of course there are other perks. Oh - the main thing is that English is selectable as a language on every single TV episode and movie :)

Hi
Try TeaTv, it's a very similar app to Terrarium TV in content, design and ease of use.
Cheers

Also try popcorn and Morpheus via aptoid which you can download via the downloader on firestick.
Use this apk file
goo.gl/vZ4SHw which you have to type in exactly after http.
They are both in my opinion better than terrarium as they have better links.

Title: Re: Terrarium TV

I never did, unless you’ve got a very good internet speed you’d face buffering problems......and for me that’s the death nail, if it starts that I just turn it off.
I spend less than the price of a cup of coffee every week on Real Debrid, it gives you the best feeds for bufferless viewing

Many thanks John. To be honest don’t watch much regarding the apps you can download on to the firestick, just tend to stick with amazon prime and channel 4 catch up. No TV licence required.

Hi, Terrarium is back up and running and a new version (1.9.10) released for 2019

I've been using it for a few weeks and it is very slick.
