It came up on mine the other day that the bbc were shutting down all non hd channels via satellite and that you will need a HD satellite box to get anything

It will be Freesat  you get from your dish, not Freeview.  Normally if you have a proper Freesat box it will automatically update the EPG channell list if channels are swapped around or deleted. If you have a cheap Satellite box it doesn't dyna.i update, you find you are presented with about 500 channels,  most of them drivel. It's worth doing a rescan, I do a first time on my non Freesat receiver from time to time,  .my other Humax Freesat  bot sorts itself out. I've got a 1.4.metre box and get the HD versions of the SD channels that have gone off air so everything should be good.

I still have Freesat via a 1.4m dish but have changed to an iptv system with a MAG 322 box. It costs 15 euros a month (or 120 a year paid in advance) + the cost of the fibre. I have all the local BBC and ITV channels. There are plenty of iptv providers out there.
