Feeling very pleased with myself.

Went to book 2 return flights Birmingham to Alicante with Ryanair £65.98 out, £216.00 back.

Checked cost of one way flights from Alicante to Birmingham on Ryanair website 261 euros.

Paid for BHX to ALC in sterling, £65.98 with a debit card (no fees)

Paid for ALC - BHX in euros, 261.00 euros including their credit card fee.
Ryanair offered fixed exchange rate of £200 which I turned down.
Paid on Santander credit card (no exchange fees).
Checked statement this morning.
Cost in sterling £187.40, a saving of £28.60. That's a few beers!

Yes we have also done this a few times over the years allowing us those extra bottles of wine while enjoying the summer evening.
As Blue & White say using Santander Black card or even the Nationwide Gold card no fees.
