Irish by descent

Hola ,
Just wondering if anyone has applied for been successful in obtaining an Irish passport via their parents or grandparents being Irish citizens ? I'm just wondering how difficult a process it was and going forward what are the benefits and complications encountered of anyone has subsequently travelled to Spain on one with regards to EU 90/180 rules ? Thanks in advance. Joe

Did about 6 years ago, more straight forward for children than grandchildren but lots of documentation required like parents/grandparents birth certificates, marriage certificates etc etc. Details are on website

Hi Chris and Jackie ,

Many thanks for this , I'll take  look.
I'm just considering it as a post Brexit loophole for staying longer than the 90/180 as I'm sure many others who are in the same position have.

Thanks again.

Joe
