The refurbed Mercadona opened this morning on schedule.

Much better!  Brighter, new trollies, baskets etc and a great feel inside, much more spacious - and very very busy!

No such luck
Spend €20 and receive a kilo of fillet steak, a bottle of 40 year old single malt, a case of San Miguel and an option on 10,000 shares at a 20% discount on the price at close of business today.
You don't even get a free carrier bag which is a bit annoying as we flew across specially to celebrate the opening

I too was underwhelmed by the lack of freebies on show and nearly missed the fact that it was open again. It didn't look much different to what it was before, apart from the lobby is now green and only has one exit/entrance door which makes it harder to avoid the beggar on the footpath.
