French traffic control strike
« on: March 20, 2016, 19:45. »
The French traffic controllers are on strike for 3 days, starting today.  Checking Alicante departures shows several cancelled flights.  We have just picked up the story whilst browsing online within the last hour.  We are due out on Ryan Air tomorrow so we are keeping our fingers crossed that it is not cancelled! Every holiday period you can think of.............there will be strike action.

And, yes, Ryan Air 6.30am is cancelled - no GA today for us.  As it is Easter, flights are fully booked so two grumpy people are online at 4.00am trying to find a flight.  I will not cause bleeps on the forum but I am sure you can all imagine what we are thinking. Jen

Typical every year they have a strike over something always in the holiday period always over nothing I think they just see it as unpaid leave

About time the French govt dealt with this !!!  Think they need a Maggie Thatcher !!!!
