Title: Temperature scale
Post by: Duncan S on January 27, 2015, 11:53.
Not major, but is it possible to change the temp scale to centigrade in the forecast [or have it as an option]?
I've had a little look around but no settings apparent. :-\

Hola Duncan,

I have searched the weather.com site for a script that will show both °C and °F at the same time or even give users the opportunity to choose their preference but unfortunately this is not available. You can display one or the other but not both at the same time. Almost all of our membership are brits who in my experience seem to prefer the forecast in °F. I have attached a conversion chart which you can print off for quick reference ..... hope this helps !

We were thinking the same, we would also like the scale in Centigrade as it is what they use in Europe and the one we are used to now.

I have posted a new poll for members to vote for their preference, just a bit of fun but the winning vote will be used for the weather temperature display.

can t find the poll but it would seem everyone is for centigrade ... so can we please have the change?
Comes over fairly ridiculous sending an email to someone outside that we have 50 degrees now in Alicante   :-)

I have stopped the weather poll as it is clear that "Celsius" is going to be the winner by a mile. The weather forecast now shows temperatures in °C.

Shouldn't that be "winner by a Kilometre!" I'll get my coat.

They were fine Tony, but rods poles & perches had more connotations than I care to think about.
