We are coming over to Spain this week and are thinking of going to Elche for the Medieval Festival and Market which we believe is on 20th October to 1st November. The last time we went to Elche, which was some years ago, we caught the Subus from a stop by the Saturday/Monday market place in Santa Pola, but as there is a new bus station now does anyone know if this service goes from there or does it still go from the original place. The last time we read about the new bus station it appeared no buses were operating from there.

On Saturday we saw the Elche bus in the new bus station.

Thank you Keith.

Thought there was a service from Arenales that may be more convenient for you. Perhaps someone can confirm. It's Subus too, if I'm right.

I will look into that. Many thanks.

Yes Subus operate from Arenales via the airport to Elche. Its the route 1b that you need. Just google subus 1b and you will find a link to their website and you can download a pdf of their time table, and also the stops (there are a number in Elche). Roughly one an hour at five minutes to the hour from Arenales but less frequent around the lunch period.

Hello all,
I am interested in visiting Elche next week and the Areneles bus stop would be the most convenient. Can anyone tell me if this is the same bus stop at the carabassi beach which I have used to catch the bus to Alicante?

Hi Jocia, you have to walk to Arenalas to get the Elche/airport bus, it's the bus stop just after the second roundabout as you go to Arenalas from GA
The time table is on the bus stop, it was the last time I used it
Regards all

Thank you for the reply.....that is now much clearer.

Just to make it less clearer the baile bus which travels through arenales then el altet and onto the airport, i think from using this route that it terminates at the airport and then does route in reverse, the subus i think carries on to elche but worth checking timetable.
