Caixa Bank

Has anyone else had the same experience as me?
Caixa Bank took over Bankia and in consequence my account. They will not allow me either to transfer monies over from the UK or to pay in Euros in GA.They are however honouring all the standing orders but the balance is going down quickly.
I have emailed the bank about ten times without a reply all I have received is a quick note to say the account is blocked and we will have to visit the bank personally.
We have booked flights at the end of August and booked an appointment with the bank.
Is it just us or has anyone else had problems.
On a diferrent tack has anyone changed banks in GA ,if so how easy is it and who would you recommend. How long does it take and what documentation do you need.
Any advice would be appreciated,

Deutsche Bank blocked our account once, they wouldn’t even pay our direct debits. They needed to see our passports and for us to sign some forms. We have since closed our account with them and now have a wise account.
