Has any clean up started yet on beach and surrounding area, we were lout in September during the very bad floods and the council were out clearing up within a few days.

Not been back to the beach since I took the photos.
Did notice on take off today that the sea is still right in so not much beach to be seen.

One tractor working yesterday.  Most of what is left of the beach still covered in seaweed.

Still a right mess - thing I noticed is that the beach has "shrunk" in depth due to the storm washing away so much sand. They (the council) will have to remove the silly fence the put up to allow people to move back up the beach or get a LOT of sand to get the width back.

The boardwalk towards the Parres Centre plot is heavily damaged at the bottom end

As it was so warm over last weekend and Mon / Tues the smell from the pink seagrass was getting a bit like the bottom of a compost bin !

Back down on the beach yesterday - no repairs done yet to boardwalks - if I didnt know better they seem more damaged by (perhaps) people with woodburners !

Elche council HAVE been busy through - they have replaced the flimsy wire fencing that was "protecting" the dunes with nice posts linked together by decorative rope (which anyone could step over in the middle as it bows down)

The beach that is now left is very narrow in places - the Jan storms took quite a lot of it away
