Yes also recommend the water falls very nice (but very cold water). we also went to the dino park that is just up the hill from there (literally)  and horse ridding http://www.rancholaofra.com/UK/horse_riding_excursions.html

Hello just a bit of advice if you go to the fonts d algar....you don't have to park at the first car park.(we got caught out)
 When we got there a couple of people in high vis jackets stepped in to the road motioning us to turn in to the "fonts car park." So we did and parked and payed, no problem. This car park is at the very start of the long steep road, we then passed lots of car parks and restaurants with free car parks, cheaper car parks and closer to the fonts. needless to say the first car park have just employed a very clever tactic to get you to park in there car park..

Everyone that has come to us is impressed with Novelda, see http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Tourism-g1064242-Novelda_Alicante_Province_Valencian_Country-Vacations.html , you've got the town with a good park and on the outskirts the Santuario Santa Magdalena. It's a replica of the one in Barcelona, is high up so great views and has a triangular castle next door. Very popular place, huge carpark and picnic spots.
