Millipede
« on: October 29, 2017, 14:54. »
Hi All
We seem to have a real issue with a form of millipede, brown / grey in colour and hardened shell when disposed of.
Haven't noticed them before but then we have only lived here a few months.
Can anyone shed some light on what they are and if they are seasonal, and what could be attracting them. Would I be right in thinking they could slowly eat their way through all the plants we have recently put in, or do the unsightly looking insects survive from another food source.
Any suggestions on how we can discourage them or insecticides we could use would be of great help.
We do have cats as family pets so would need some kind of pet friendly deterrent or poison.
Regards
RT.
