Had a text from Vodaphone today while working in Austria. They have dropped roaming charges for all of Zone 1 which includes Spain - about time to

All roaming charges in the EU ended today.... but call charges remain the same...i.e. Expensive

4.3p a minute to call UK with Talkmobile. Hardly the end of the world.

With my 3 contract no call charges,I can use my mobile the same as in UK

Vodafone Pay as You Go, same price as in UK that is 55p per minute to make a call.
Now they have to allow free European Roaming with bundles, they have to make up their income somehow.

Not all companies charge the same amount. O2's are still expensive apparently.
