We are spending a few days exploring the area around Cuenca.
Absolutely glorious, the countryside is amazing, the soil is almost red in colour, fields of wild flowers, eagles in the skies and Cuenca looking as resplendent as ever
#spainisamazing The Paradors not bad either

We were up there at the end of April, John. My 87 year old cousin was with us and I had promised him a run on the AVE (he is a lifelong train buff, founder member of the Railway Preservation Society in Ireland) so a day trip was organised, he absolutely loved it and Cuenca was in great form weather wise as well.
