In amongst all the iffy weather, finally some GREAT news!
The cherries are in season.
Love them, & so affordable here.

Morning Mike, we've got through a kilo already!!

Here's the question..........they sold as being cherries from the Mountains of Alicante........have you ever seen them growing?

I havnt!! We were up in the hills around Callosa, Guadalest and Alcoi yesterday.....didnt see one cherry tree!!

As you say, John, never seen them growing..  May be like some of the persimmons, grown with netting over the whole trees to keep the birds off.
Don't care how they do as long as they don't stop!

Never seen them near Alicante. But 4years ago went to Extremadura and between Caceres and Avila the road took a galcial valley which was absolutely full with cherries ripe on the trees. Every where were roadside stalls, and packing sheds to despatch them. It was the last week in May I recall and a sight I would love to see again.
