Not you Dave

The Osborne Bull that was sited on the 332 just south of Santa Pola has gone.

I'm 100% positive it was here when we were last out at the back end of last year.

In my world these have always been a great symbol of Spain and I love seeing them

Regards all

John

Its predecessor on the same site was stolen for scrap a few years ago.  Maybe this one has suffered the same fate.  Shame.

Apparantly it blew down with the strong winds some time ago and then it dissapeared, I thought it would be mended and then make a comeback, but no, it hasn't been seen since, such a shame.

A real shame.
These things are as Spanish as sangria and paella
A Spanish neighbour told me years ago that folklore said that if you conceived a son under the bulls "apparatus" said son would grow up to be a strong and powerful man
I hope it gets replaced

Think it will be replaced John.  I believe these adverts are protected as part of the national history

Yes I heard they were protected. Like a lot of people (I hope!) - I spent years not knowing they were adverts at all haha.

If you look carefully, you can see the one over towards Monte Cid from The "roundabout". Those that are optically challenged might need a cheap pair of binoculars from the market.

If you buy a cheap pair of market binoculars, if you weren't optically challenged before you certainly will be after using them!

The pair I got as an emergency backup to my birding binoculars gave me one hell of a headache... >:(
