Both JYSK and Fosters Hollywood are investing in Gran Alacant - cannot be better news to put GA on the map  8)

More details to follow in the next few days  8)

Danish company - my view is that its a decent cross between Dunelm and a smaller Ikea

Both should be open by the end of May, beginning of June. Next month JYSK will start work converting the old ALDI store (the one where LIDL relocated to until recently). Great news for Gran Alacant  8)

JYSK will be a welcome addition

Fosters Hollywood won't, badly cooked and overpriced food

Does GA need any more restaurants

I partially agree Ash as we fell in love with GA when it was first starting up, however, part of me thinks the investment will bring a few extras such as improved transport links (hopefully frequent services to the airport) and more taxis.

Ash, you missed the word "very" out of your comments twice. Glad I didn't buy a house on that estate at the bottom. Instead of a view overlooking a golf course they will now have to look at a couple of fast food joints.

Just to clarify the strip of land adjacent to puerto marino and the 332 was always intended as a row of bars restaurants etcc this was clearly told to all the original purchasers including myself. We were also told that the land behind the car wash was going to be a bowling alley , cinema complex. So whilst not a fan ok BK or similar it can only be good news for GA
They dont like it up em !
