Title: Air Conditioning
Post by: PedroTal on July 08, 2015, 13:15.
Hi looking for recommendations for purchase and installation of air conditioning units in Bedroom. Is it cheaper to buy unit and have it installed by local electrician or go for a package with all included. Can anyone recommend any companies who supply and install? Thanks

I have used Eric myself in the past & would do so again.
Unfortunately, he is stacked out with work & we desperately need another engineer.
Any suggestions?

Erik removed our unit to allow tyler to work outside ( in good condition then), never worked correctly again, after a couple of weeks got him back said it was goosed and the model was a bad model ( Panasonic ), got A/c guy from Euronics  he sorted, replaced two years later, by him/Euronics go to Euronics GA every time for all such equipment

Hi jdr, Eric has looked after my aircon for around five years, on two occasions he has had to replace components on a Carrier unit I had installed some 10 years ago by a "cowboy"
These repairs have kept the unit running and performing well.
If Eric told me a unit was "goosed", by this I assume you mean not cost effective to repair I would believe him.
He actually goes out of his way to save his clients money with the advice he gives.

Regards all

John

Our air con is sorted.  However, a cautionary word to all who have aging units.
Our bedroom units are fine, but the downstairs unit is over 8 years old.  To recharge this requires gas407 which is expensive.  Eric doesn't carry it, & I was charged  125 Euros to do it (after I'd taken the grill out of a window myself to allow access)
I thought it was steep, but needs must.p
