Just started thinking about going to Spain after I get my second jab in May , and trying to get my head around the 90 in 180 days scenario we now face
If I have it right day 1 of the 180 and 90 starts on the day you arrive , so by my thinking if I go in the 180 days which is six months six times for 10 days each time . That’s 60 days in 180 used so then it rolls onto the next day which then becomes day 180 but now I’ve used only 59 days in that period .
Am I correct ?

This is quite useful.

You are correct about the rolling period. If for example you wanted to come out August 1-14, count back from 1 August to see if you've spent more than 90 days in Spain out of the previous 180. If it's 89 or less you're good to go. The period moves forward a day at a time.
You do not (as was widely incorrectly reported) have to leave Spain for 90 days once you have 90 days under your belt. As a quick guide, as long as you don't spend more than two weeks a month in Spain you should be alright.

Very confused, if I stay 2 months in may, come back again for 1 month august (90 days total) can I return 3 months. Oct 90 days total). Making grand total 180 days.
-
Yes, if you come for 90 days starting October continuing into November and December - but you won't be able to return for a further 90 days in January, February and March until the 180 days run out in March sometime.
Putting your dates in the calculator will tell you if it's ok.

I just tried the calculator but fir some reason it’s not putting my start date of period as the day I arrive but 4 months before

I have been using visa-calculator.com which is very easy to use and give you the earliest return date once you put your dates in.
