Title: ATC strike
Post by: David D on November 15, 2017, 12:39.
I see Ryanair have cancelled some flights tomorrow because of the French ATC going on strike.

In their defence Ash they openly detail their cancelations in advance, we had some friends flying home with Easy Jet a few weeks ago when there were lots of cancelations due to industrial action, they found out by text four hours before their flight that it had been cancelled.........they would have loved clarity the day before as Ryanair passengers had.

Regards all

The biggest joke is the persistent strikes by the French ATC they have been doing this for years no responsibility no care of people involved

Can't  blame Ryanir for this.  Surely your basic safety suggests that you need a preserved flight path, which the French ATCs are denying.
How many years of this must the traveling public suffer before someone presents legislation that cuts across employment laws & gives paying consumers some rights??????????????

Sorry John, but in the last round of cancellations we had friends who were actually in the airport and had got to the checkin desk when their email came through telling them of cancellation, they then had to get in touch with Ryanair, at cost to themselves and decided to accept a date offered two weeks later thinking it would all be over then, guess what their date was the date of a strike and they were cancelled again!
