Looks fab. Does anyone know how long the coach would take to get there? We have a son with autism and he isn't hugely tolerant of long coach journeys especially without Wi-Fi.

In a car its about two and a half hours.....in a coach on that day probably closer to three or four hours I would guess
Best to ask in Dick Turpins

If your son has autism, this may not be for you.  Whilst it's great fun, the town gets so full of revellers that you become totally wedged in with no way to get out.  The crowds press in on you from all angles with no respite.
Don't want to put a damper on it for you, but better safe than sorry.

We were hoping to find a quiet corner to hide in just to observe. But were worried about how busy it would get. We try to hire cars when we come over so that we can arrive/leave places if he get anxious but as we are here for a month this time the cost was shocking. May be next year if we have a car. Thanks for your help

I've attended. It was interesting but probably never again due solely to potentially dangerously wedged in crowds. At one point some young girls panicked and had to be pulled the side of a house into a window. It really is that tight. Of course you could try and stay out of the actual "centre", but in that centre it truly is as tight as the tightest tube carriage you've ever stood in, and moving at a shuffling pace trying to stay calm.

I am no expert on autism, but unless the condition makes the chap calmer, non-claustrophobic and noise tolerant (and maybe it does, I really don't know), I would give it a wide berth.

To be honest you, or him, may not have experienced anything like it before, and I don't recommend it as a place to experiment, since there's basically no way out.

I'd be inclined to ketchup later.  ;)
