Wasnt the merca china building built by eroski before the crash, then decided not to move in.
-
Yes it was built for them they decided against it and then it stood half finished and empty for about 4 years

It was never mega busy when it was Caprabo but as Eroski it has always had that Marie Celeste feel about it. We generally use it for our big shop when we arrive.
-
Weve always liked Eroski in santa pola but clearly it has never achieved mass appeal not sure why, saying that Consum is also a nice shop but always quiet. I dont follow the pennies so maybe it comes down to price.
-
So is it going to be extended into a carrefoure or it going to be like a small local version
-
Just noticed that Mercadona is closing at the end of the month for four weeks for a refit......surprising, they've got a good image and a good looking store

I was in Euroski the other day and wondered why the shelves were empty and there were so many locals in.

In an area like GA the locals are essential to any business surviving, sadly i think many locals can be a bit tight and would rather buy cheap hotdogs and beer from lidl than support a local business. Many businesses rely on the non residents and tourists who tend to spend money.

I think that Lidle has has gone really down, was in there earlier, shelves empty, products that they advertise in their leaflet are not there and hardly any people shopping. Not good.

Agreed. I remember when a walk round the middle section was at least mildly entertaining, and at best might turn up a bargain. The last six months its looked like a tat jumble-sale, and the same unwanted stuff keeps going round and round. I might buy up all the silicone cake moulds just so I don't have to see them again!

If I want "dull grey and chilly", I can get that at home.
