Can anyone tell us what procedures are in place on entry to Spain at the ports of Santander or Bilbao?
Does one need to get out of the car to present the paperwork?
Is there the same havoc as the French seem to be causing at Dover/Calais?
We know we need Covid booster certificates but do we need NIE, bank statements etc.?
Does it take very long?

I'll answer my own question.

On check-in at Plymouth the lady checked ticket, passports and covid vaccination forms.

At Santander there were no extra checks. The officer inspected  the passports and stamped them.  That was it.
