Spain flight to uk - what's the latest update please?

We are due to return to UK next week, Friday 22nd Oct.
I'm fairly ok with the uk requirements. As I understand it,
the UK locator form cannot be completed until 48 hours before the flight,
because of the need to have the day 2 test booked.
Is this correct?
On our return, as Spain only requires the EUDCC jab form, with no test requirement,
can we do the locator form now, as no testing is required?

Spain will not let you send the Locator Form more than 48 hours from your time of arrival. You can fill it in and save it for completion later on their website.
You can fill in the UK form at anytime but it will only stay on the system for 7 days unless you update it.
Both forms require a seat number which with Ryanair you only get 24 hours before flying unless you pay extra.

With the latest gov`t easing on 24th, day 2 jabs will be LFT which brings down the cost considerably. Unfortunately, we fly on 22nd,
meaning,presumably we still need to book day 2 jabs with the more expensive PCR test.
