Has anyone else seen this mini walkway at the top of Av. Escandinavia (see attached). It’s part of the path that the hang gliders use but doesn’t go the whole distance. I was expecting a fantastic view because it had a bench at the end, but all you get is a slight view of the sea. How do they get funding/justification for this?

It is for those who watch the paragliders taking off
-
That's my point, you have to go way past the end of this newly created path to see them.
-
I thought it was meant to be better access to help the people who are taking all their equipment to do the jumps off the cliff not a viewpoint.
-
Thats exactly what I was lead to believe sunseekers

In that case i assume they funded the build themselves.
-
Why? Its there for anyone who wants to use it, and parascending, though its a,ways been popular, appears to be bringing an increasing amount of tourism, and therefore, income into the area.
-
Calm down dear, why simply because if it's taxpayer funded project then on looking around ga i see plenty of litter, lots of potholes, broken pavements and general maintenance that needs prioritising before another grandiose scheme that benefits a minority.
All those additional tourists coming to see a path would drive onto ga and think what a neglected area and not come again, new path or not.
-
Oh my Victor, not the old calm down dear again 😂

The design of this bridge is very similar to the sky bridge further up the hill by the lighthouse, I wonder if there is a link between the council and the makers!.
