Title: Where to Visit?
Post by: Loulou on July 18, 2016, 14:20.
Can anyone recommend any typically Spanish villages/towns that are worth a visit? We have travelled up and down the coast in previous years but thought  this year we should try travelling a little inland. Just not sure where to head for. We are based in GA and looking for places about an hours drive away.

Hi, try Novelda, http://www.novelda.es/, we take all our visitors there.
But make sure you go in the morning if you want to go in the church/sanctuary, which is just outside the town, at the top of a hill. There is also the only triangular castle in Europe, right next door.

Guadalest, another lovely place to visit, or Algar waterfalls.

We like Xixona, park at the top by the ruined castle and walk down to the town via narrow streets.
