Museo de la sal Santa Pola

Joined an advertised guided visit to the salt museum this morning.  The guide was Jose Manuel from the tourist office , a mine of information , but the poor man could not apologise enough that the tour was to be in Spanish .  Did not come as a surprise to myself and two companions, as we are in Spain after all, but because they had seen it advertised in an English publication the others  assumed that it would be in English.About 8 Spanish people and 7 English. It certainly helped to have some knowledge of Spanish and although we could not understand every word he did very well to explain the important points in English. Along with the history and environmental aspects of salt (sea salt) we also had an opportunity to view the birds out on the lakes.
A really interesting couple of hours.
