What a brilliant drive

We stayed at Escondida last night and drove across to Guadalest this morning.
If you love mountainous scenery, switch back roads and sleepy Spanish villages it’s a dream.
We saw mist blanketing the valleys below us, a couple of eagles, had to stop for a goat herder and hardly met any traffic, a real joy.
Spain is a gorgeous country
Escondida is pretty good as well

Regards all

John

Already booked for our second stay at le escondida after seeing your lunch pictures last year. Beautiful part of Spain and the people in the two local villages although they seemed shocked to see strangers were very friendly.

Glad you enjoyed it, it’s a gorgeous place isn’t it, hard to believe it’s only an hour away from the hustle and bustle off the coast
Did you get your discount card?

We did get a discount card so that will knock a few bob off a slightly expensive few days. As for enjoying it it was absolutely fabulous. The peace and quiet is unbelievable and added to the food, friendly staff and lovely atmosphere in the hotel it truly was a wonderful stay. Thanks again for your recommendation.

The CV770 up to Guadalest is a demanding drive. OH used to complain that she felt queasy by the time we got there.

Great scenery indeed. The room looks amazing as well. Really makes me want to visit there. Thanks for sharing John.
