Private messaging not working?

I have tried 3 times to instant message a member, it is not working.  I then tried to email them, same thing, not working.  Perhaps someone could look into this please.

The private messaging system is working perfectly, I have been sending and receiving private messages over the last few days along with many other members on this Forum. I have just sent a test email through this Forum to another member and that is working perfectly as well. You must be doing something wrong at your end.

The problem is I now discover, that my messages WERE sent, but did not show up in "My Messages" that is the reason I contacted you. The person I was trying to contact only replied this afternoon AFTER I contacted you

The messages you send will show up in "My Messages", you have to look in "Sent Items" to see them.
