I will try to clear up the confusion over the location of the new "Belfry". It is in Plaza Mayor directly opposite the "Hole In The Wall" and owned by the same people. "Times Square" is the Irish bar/restaurant which is also in Plaza Mayor and has no connection with the new "Belfry". The "Belfry" is in the unit that has been empty for a very long time. This was formerly the cafeteria run by the owner of the bowls complex and actually on the opposite side of the road to the existing bowls club restaurant known as El Rincon. Two entrances into the place, one from the roadside and one from Plaza Mayor where the other bars and restaurants are. Hope this helps.

I have just been into the new ¨Belfry¨ (Sat 13:00) to book a meal for the carvery for a week Sunday. The place has been completely refurbished. The decor and layout inside and out is excellent and very pleasing to the eye. The waitress who arranged our booking was very professional and helpful. We met some good friends inside having a meal and apparently the beef soup is excellent. I cannot wait to give the carvery a try !

Sunday 19th April ... just arrived back home in Puerto Marino from our meal at the Belfry. I´m stuffed and very pleased with our first experience of the new Carvary in GA. No starters (I was too scared to overfill my now enormous stomach - I failed). The food was presented exceptionally well, beautifully cooked and absolutely delicious. My opinion is very much influenced by the fact that the music was late 60`s and 70´s Tamla Motown playing quietly in the background. Fabulous afternoon ... think I might go again ! ! !

Had a lovely meal here yesterday evening, I had the fish cakes and Sirloin Steak which was rare as requested, I will have the ribs next visit as they looked very meaty. Well worth a visit and the staff were very friendly.

Just had my Sunday roast at The Belfry, other than what Mrs H does it was the best Sunday lunch we have experience in Spain by a considerable margin.
It will now be a regular
Good to see a full house and lots of GA's dignitaries in there enjoying their lunch.

Regards all

John
