Hand luggage in the hold at Alicante Airport - Easyjet

Does anyone know if Easyjet are still letting you put your hand luggage in the hold for 5 euros?  Thanks

If you ask at the check in desk they will normally put in hold free of charge as there is always too many people with hand luggage only.
They normally insist the last 20/30 people put theirs in hold and take off at gate as not enough room in lockers.

When I came back in August I paid the 4/5 euros to put my hand luggage in the hold and you automatically get priority boarding so you can get on first.

We had to pay in August.  I asked at Southend check in if we cld put it on for free (as we usually do) but was told now a charge - which we paid. Dont think i got priority boarding though?  My reason for asking at Alicante is that if it can go in the hold I can bring back more than 100ml bottles. I dont want to buy liquids then get to the airport to find that it is not a guarantee.  Am happy to pay the euros to know it will defo go on.

We had the same cunning plan bring back more than allowed under hand baggage rules, the only flaw in my plan is security scanning prior to handing your bag over at the gate.

Oh dear.  Didnt have that problem at the check-in at Southend. Took all my toiletries. Want to be able to leave them in GA and come back with Gin

Your talking about 2 different things

Southend Airport have a scheme where you pay to put it in the hold

Alicante Airport staff are always happy if you want to put your hand luggage in the hold when boarding but obviously you won't have any liquids in he bags unless you've bought them at the airport

Im pretty sure they were doing the same thing at Alicante in August - €5 at the check-in. Was wondering if it was just a summer thing or on-going.  I'll see if I can find out when I land

All done - straight through at alicante with speedy boarding (not that theres much speed going on). Hand luggage full of Nenuco and toiletries. Boarding with my passport, purse and phone. Well worth it
